I was reading a post under stamping stuff - techniques. The post was "drifting" and someone mentioned using Pearl Ex on black paper. Well, I've seen cards with this technique before but I had yet to try it .... so I gave it a whirl. WOW - It is AWESOME!! The picture really does it NO JUSTICE! You can't see the real contrast between the pearl ex powders and the black cs.
To do the technique, simply stamp the image with Versamark. Then, using a dry paint brush, pick up a little pearl ex powder and "paint" it where you'd like it to go. The powder will stick to the versamark. Once you are done, lightly wipe away extra pearl ex using a swiffer cloth.
I added the word "sparkle" on the half circle (it is hard to read in the pic). I also used some yellow ribbon that has a bit of shimmer to it (probably also hard to see in the pic) and some gold cord. This is a product that I don't use very often but I like it with this card!

I was wondering what Pearl Ex does! This is beautiful. I think it is a beautiful card. I love using black cardstock, this a a great way to show things up.
