I am teaching my Technique Club chipboard techniques tomorrow. I keep asking myself why I chose this technique to work on since I am fairly clueless with it myself???? I was just so intrigued with the new On Board products and the flower set that works with it that I had to order them during the preview period for demos. Then I started looking for all the different ways to use it....ack!!!!!! and started to panic. I really hate to teach something that I am only 1/2 step in experience ahead of the person I'm teaching. OK...enough scolding myself!!
I took this piece out of my big set and removed the circles to create a frame. I have seen several cards made with this here on SCS and I love the frame with small images. I had to really struggle to find one of my sets that is still current with small enough images. I really lost out on current sets with the new caty. Oh....I digressed back to complaining again. Sorry! I used vanilla craft ink to cover the piece and heated to dry. It took two layers to cover well. I used mustard to apply the little leaf bg design on the piece and heated again. I completed the frame by applying versa and clear ep for the finish. It really looks great. I had to mask off some of the big stamp with tape to allow me to use just part of an image. Everything was stamped with Stazon on watercolor paper. I had some boo boos and thus took my artist pen and added leaves, stems and grass to cover them up. I painted all the images with reinker and watercolor brushes. When I got the little images attached to the frame...I realized that I didn't really have a plan for a layout. This is the best I could come up with as I already felt a little pressured to get this complete and to move on to the next example card for my class. If I had it to do over again I would make a square card.

Wonderful card, it's always a delight to come to your gallery and find another great creation to admire. Not only do I admire your creations but also your generousity in sharing with SCS such detailed instructions on how you made your cards. You are definetly one of the reasons SCS is so addictive. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely gorgeous and SO unique! Very creative use of this set and the chipboard too!
