This is for the Limited Supplies challenge LSC123. The goal was to pick a sample from the new Fall/Winter 2007 catty and case it. I chose the Monkey Business sample from page 61. I used Earth Elements colors from 2 years ago, and I didn't have the button or string.
There is a lot of careful cutting in this one -- sweet happy monkey has lots of details in his hands, toes, and his tail. Even the hearts took a couple tries to get just the right outline shape. I had to put the button in the middle vs to the far left because I stamped the words a little crooked so the button placement better balanced it out.
I had to figure out the paper sizes.... here is what I did... not exactly right, but it works! ... Total paper square size of 3 1/4 " (wide) x ~ 2 3/4 " long. The green section was ~ 1/2 " ; the cameo coral was ~ 1 3/4" ; and the brown was ~ 1 1/4 " for a total of about 2 3/4". I used Xyron adhesive sticker maker machines and then to get the straight I used a cutting mat with lines and wax paper, to get the placement right.
I had to improvise on the colors. I had to use my own button and fiber. And I had to use the Trimtastic border instead of the one they used.
