This is my card for today's challenge. I cased the layout of the card on Page 38. a pretty simple long panel with two layers. I made this card for my friend Julia (artystamper). This is my story:
1. Julia recently took a trip to Ireland and shared four memorable pictures of her trip with me.
2. I wanted to make her a special card and out of the four, a picture of a window and hiking boot flower planter appealed to me the most. This house was in a town where she watched sheep shearing, ate scones and drank tea.
3. One of the other pictures was of Julia kissing the Blarney Stone. A guy has to hold you while you kiss it because if you fall it's 30 feet down. I didn't want to make a card depicting the demise of Julia....besides, I didn't have a Julia stamp.
4. There is lace in the window (cuz the real picture had it) and I used a clear see through report cover for the glass of the window.
5. Getting the hiking boot was made easy by my sister-in-law having two SU camping sets. I borrowed it from her! Whoo Hoo!
6. My husband actually said this might be one of his favorite cards I've made. That is a big deal, believe me, Julia!
EDIT: See the real story in Julia's comment on the first page down at the bottom!

Wonderful card and story! This is just gorgeous...all the details are fabulous, right down to the CB'd windowsill. The shrubs, trees and vines are the best. This is truly AWESOME!

Cindy, this is amazing with all the details you have here. I love, love, love the cut outs of the vine and your layering of the flowers. Just beautiful!

Your card is very beautiful - and it looks just like that. I just need to send your image to our daughter she lived in Ireland for 4 years. Or, better - I should just case it. Thanks,

Cindy!!! I'm speechless!! what a gorgeous card - it looks even better than the real thing!! I can't believe I'm the topic of your story - I feel like I've won a prize! That little cuttled windowsill in the white is perfect just like their white washed clay houses! - the layered flowers - the curtain - the window - a true work of art - I will treasure it!
For those intereseted - this is the window in the original farmhouse at the Rathbaun Farm near Galway - owned and run by the Connolly Family for 200 years - Finton and Frances are the current owners - they raise sheep to sell for meat - but do sheep shearing and serve tea and scones to tour groups who come! They have a great dog called "Buff" (Boof with an Irish accent!) who gathers the sheep in from the field - and they had a 2 hour old calf there when we were there - it was a wonderful farm to visit.
They actually did have flowers in an old boot on this windowsill and they had several other kinds of boots and shoes on the ground around the farm with plants in them!!

Too, too sweet!!! Too, too beautiful. Love your plants around the window. You would make Kittie proud!! And that boot......I tell ya, only you woulda thunk to do that. It is so cute and such a nice surprise to see in the window. I've seen cowboy boots as planters, but never a hiking boot. Love it!!! Love the colors too!! Great card Cindy!!
