My sweet MIL passed away a couple years ago, and one of the items I kept of hers was her sewing basket. Why? I don't know since I don't sew, but it's such a pretty basket. I got to looking in it yesterday and came across a big bag of buttons. There were several large 'coat' buttons, and I got the idea to use one for the center of the Big Blossom flower. My SIL's birthday is coming up, so I made this card for her with one of her mom's buttons on it. Does that sound stupid? I find it sentimental but sometimes I doubt myself. Anyhoo, I wanted to use this pretty green fern dp. I am not a patient one for cutting things out and cannot believe I cut this blossom out three times to mat it! The swirl flourishes in the bg are a part of a clear stamp set that DeborahLynneS sent to me (thanks, Deb!). I have had those delicate looking leaf accents forever and liked how they looked tucked behind the blossom. The butterflies are diecuts (Cuttlebug) and the photo corners are diecuts (QuicKutz). This is a 5.25 x 5.25 card. I hope my SIL likes it!
