Made this card as one of the OSWs I did and gave it to my hubby this year for Dad's day. The ribbon necktie was a little flash of inspiration I had. It may not be original for everyone, but for me it was a definite "AHA!" moment. The card opens like a matchbook once you turn the little metal tab. This design works really well for gift cards too!

Ribbon??!! I thought it was chain link metal from a bracelet!! Did you do this to the ribbon? If so, how? If not; whreever did you find it? I like the simplistic lay out and colors for this very masculine card. I hope your hubby liked it! have a Happy......

I found the ribbon at Michael's actually. It comes in several colors, in fact I have another card in my gallery (see GlitterCakeParty T Sacrison) that uses the same ribbon in pink. Anywhoooo. All I did was punch a 1/8" hole in the ivory cardstock to push one end of the ribbon through. The ribbon is about 4" long, knotted about 1" from one end. The other end is cut to a point. The tail of the knotted end is pushed through the hole and taped on the back side. I put a glue dot under the pointed end to hold it down. Hope that clarifies things. Thanks for your interest!
