I really like the inspiration piece and wanted to incorporate several of the elements in my card without actually trying to duplicate the art. I love how it turned out.
The checked piece was actually a sheet of striped dp that I cut apart the stripes, then cut them in half lengthwise and wove together. The curved piece was cut from vanilla cs using a bowl as a guide, then masked and sponged. I used the brush tip of my black marker to draw the dividing lines. After I glued the checks, curved piece and angled piece down, I stamped the flourish. The flower is colored with prismacolors and gamsol - I used a mix of color trying to get a close match to the pomegranate. I sponged the edges of the petals with rose red and then with lovely lilac (since I'm still waiting for my pomegranate ink). Flower is popped up. Added bling with ce & dd glitter. The last thing I did was sponge around the outside edge of the card with chocolate chip.
Did I say I REALLY LOVE this card!?

I am absolutely floored by this card. Unbeliveable -- I didn't even take the time to read how you made it, I just went directly to salivating. So now that the heart rate has leveled off, I'll go check out your instructions just to see how perfection is achieve!! ;)
