The background for the card was done by stamping a solid rectangle in the lighter ink color, then inking up the canvas background stamp with the darker color and "kissing" the rectangle stamp onto the canvas stamp. Then re-stamp over the solid image with the canvas-patterned rectangle.

Note to Just1more: you can use any solid shape stamp on the canvas background and get the same effect. If you have a square stamp, you may be able to stamp a square canvas background and just stamp the flower in the center of it.
Another note: make sure to use a dark ink for the canvas background, as the reverse image on the square or rectangle stamp comes out lighter than usual.
