This is a second card for today's CC119 to use Red, Caramel, Banana. I cheated and used a little Soft Sky for the ocean and sky. I stamped the images and painted with reinkers and watercolor brushes. I sponged on the caramel to create the sand area and the blue for the ocean. I wanted to create the look of sand texture so I stamped IBB and then spread a light layer of liquid applique around on the sand and smooshed it around with my finger and heated. I took a sponge dauber and applied caramel to the white LA to give it the sand color. I applied LA to the ocean water and swirled it around. I got it a little too heavy and got some of the dreaded bubble blobs but I still like it. I love the little touch of yellow gingham with this. I'm heading to Cape Hatteras for our 15th annual sisters and brother-in-laws vacation to cook, eat, drink coffee, sit on the beach and laugh. Can you tell I'm getting anxious!!!!!!
