These are pine wooden letters from Walmart. I decoupaged patterned paper onto them, then sealed them with Royal Coat that had some Perfect Pearls, silver glitter, and silver acrylic paint mixed in. The letters are close to Almost Amethyst in colour, and the ribbons are red and Baroque Burgundy. The ribbons are held on the back using flat thumbtacks. I think these will go above our bed, using 3M velcro hanging product to keep each letter in place.
Hanging off the first H are two charms that are the Chinese characters for our Chinese zodiac signs (rabbit and snake). The X ribbon on the E has a brass decorative brad at its centre. The ribbon on the R and S is cool crimped ribbon that came from a Lindt gold bunny I got at Christmas. :)
Small Script 'joy' and 'always' are stamped on two of the letters in Dark Moss, as are 'love and 'bliss' from Noteworthy. Kanji stamps for joy and love are stamped on various letters in Platinum Planet, but impossible to see in this photo. Reflective stuff doesn't photograph very well! Kanji for happiness is stamped once on each letter in Chestnut Roan.
Thanks for looking!

Well, I think you did a great job! They look totally awesome!
You know he will love them, they are from *YOU*!
...Perhaps they are not stars in the sky...But rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy... ...My life is like a stroll on the beach...As near to the edge as I can go...Thoreau...
...The difference between *life* and *living*...When you have someone close, someone special, a *Best Friend*, it's *Living*...When you lose her...it's just *Life*...

These look great and all the little "personal" touches meaningful to both of you makes it a wonderful anniversary gift.
Thank you for the tips on working with these letters that you added to your forum post!
