My ISP was down for 6 hours this morning (aaarrggghhh!!!)--and on the day both DS's are gone too! But at least it gave me lots of time to play today.
This card was inspired by a layout I saw in Scrapbooking & Beyond magazine and this week's technique challenge and the June card challenge for Wish RAK. I didn't have anywhere near the supplies they used in that layout, so I faked it!
The tiles are cut from some of DH's sandpaper (I got very frustrated first trying to make *sand* without sand colored cs or the spritzer too first. Then said *forgettaboutit!). They are embossed. I tried sponging choc chip around the edges too--which looked really, really great....but I forgot to sponge before embossing, and the ink just doesn't stick afterwards. Bummer! It's also impossible to see the little bitty flowers stamped on the hemp wrapped strip in the pic.
The torn edges are inked with gold; the cocoa eyelets are from my super awesome, bestest ever Secret Sibling; the tags are freehand cut.
Sooo.....then I had all this work put into a card I really, really like and I've spent 45 min trying to get a decent pic of it If anyone would like to email DH and suggest I need a new camera, I'll send ya' his email, lol! I need to send this chic to someone with a better camera, I guess
