This card was inspired by the GORGEOUS layout done by Gabrielle Pollacco I found on page 123 of the new July 2007 issue of Creating Keepsakes.
Started with a 5x7 card base made from SU Perfect Plum. Layed some Tres Jolie paper on the top. I stamped the flower petals, cut and mounted them, then cut around them again with a funky scallop scissors. Arranged them and sandwiched them between two Marvy scallop hearts, added some bling. Broke out my Fancy Pants Pollen Dust set and stamped the rectangle border on some coordinating paper, cut it out and mounted it on dimensionals. Accented it with the Sakura Stardust pen, then covered the heart with a couple of thick layers of Crystal Effects to make it look like an epoxy embellishment. Cut a strip of striped coordinating paper and finished of one edge with the SU slit punch, then punched some holes in the scallops with two sizes of hole punches. Mounted this strip, then used a thin dstrip of pink over the seam. Filled in the holes with Platinum Stickles for more sparkle. Stamped stem from Pollen Dust set, cut it out and mounted on card, leavng some pieces to curl up from the paper. Hot glued the flower on. Finally, made a boo-boo stamping my sentiment directly on the card, so covered it up by stamping on the pink, layering on green and trimming with a mini scallop scissors. Added two more bling brads and some Stardust pen to the sentiment for final bit of sparkle.
