**for anyone copying the poem, it's been edited since the first post as there was a typo! noticed too late for the card!**
an extremely hard card to make today for a family we've known for a long time, our boys went to school together, palled around and several months ago our youngest kids were in a musical together. the mother found her only daughter (the youngest) dead yesterday in her bedroom...possibly from a brain hemmorage. sad, sad **yes, was an aneurysm**
the bg is petite patterns in pale plum, poem printed on computer... sorry the picture isn't very good....here's the poem
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air or solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed,
at little jokes we both enjoyed together.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was,
let it be spoken without effect,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you,
for an interval
somewhere very near,
just around the corner.
All is well.

Dawn, this is absolutely beautiful. That is so sad. I'm sure this will help lift their spirits.
I hope you don't mind if I case it. I have lost three uncles in the last two months and have been wanting to make special cards for my aunts. This would be perfect.

I'm so sorry about your friends' loss -- it must have been so difficult for you to make this card. The poem, and your card, are beautiful -- they will bring comfort to your friends. Hugs and prayers for all of you.
