My friend just let me know that her pregnancy is going to have to be terminated at 3 months -- I was soooo sad. I wanted to send a card to let her know I was thinking of her and her family but a sympathy didn't quite seem appropriate for the situation. Then I decided to go with the Thinking of you from Warmest Regards.
I cased this card from stamps4funinCA for the Featured Stamper challenge 17:
I really liked the look of the quilt -- like a warm and comforting hug for my friend. I pulled out one of my all time favorite sets - Carte Postale and started stamping that cute flower bunch on some Bordering Blue cardstock with Versamark. Then I used it and some chatterbox dp for the framed quilt. I stamped another one of those flower bundles with Bordering Blue ink rolled in Night of Navy onto more BB cd and cut it out. The frame is popped up on dimensionals and the center image is popped up slightly on 3 small pieces of cs glued together, then the flower image itself is also popped up on some layers of cs glued together.
I actually pulled out my sewing machine for this one too!! and the background in Flannel stamped with Versamark. I think the Versamark made a soft image for much of the card.
I hope this card brings my friend a small amount of comfort.
