A couple of weeks ago, I found an envelope from Jami in my mailbox. It was stuffed with some stamped images from Stampin Fun For Everyone, one of her favorite retiring StampinÂ’ Up! sets. She issued a little challenge to create something with the images sheÂ’d included . . . by May 30th. HereÂ’s mine, just in time!
Super easy little project, especially when everything’s stamped and ready to go! I cut a strip of the patterned paper (Spring Mini Polkadots & Paisley double sided paper) and scored so that it would hug the bag (Martha Stewart party favor bag from Michael’s), then adhered it with Sticky Strip. The stamped image was watercolored with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter, and I used the ticket corner punch on the corners before matting it with Tempting Turquoise and adhering to the bag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The “Nifty Stamps” sentiment was already circle punched, so I just added a layer behind it, punched a hole, and added some ribbon from my stash before adhering with a dimensional.
Thank you, Jami for a great challenge, and for giving me a head start on a much needed gifty thing! I think this little bag will be perfect to stash some of the incentive stamps I’ve been hoarding (I don’t know why!) in. I’ll send it with the kids on Friday - they’ve been having so much fun with a karate friend this week, and the mom and daughter both stamp. It will be a perfect “thank you for your hospitality” gift!
