This card is using the Chalkboard Technique. Super easy card to make, and really wows the customer!! All of my customers bought this set, the pastels and white craft pad after I demo'd this! I also dyed the black gingham with the Cool Caribbean reinker so it would match the paper as well.

Hi Patty, and others, here's the directions I sent to someone else who PM'd me on chalkboard
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's so easy, it is posted somewhere, but all you do is, ink up a solid image in white craft ink, while still damp, pounce over it with pastels. Then stamp the coordinating 2 step stamp on top. I am too cheap to buy fixative, so I just give it a light spray with cheap hairspray to help seal the pastels. I showed this to my customers, and it is all they have been making ever since
Also for ribbon dying it is a little messy. You can do it a few different ways.
1. Paint it, dip your brush or aquapainter into the reinker, or smoosh some ink on it's lid.
2. Put in a jar with some slightly watered down reinker
3. Just run i across the ink pad, that works best for trying to get a few pieces done. If you don't like inky hands, wear gloves, and then just lay on wax paper or foil till it dries, normally doesn't take too long
If you have any more questions let me know.

Great sample of the chalkboard technique. Thanks also for the directions in an earlier post. I was trying to remember how to do this technique and it saved me having to go search. TFS!
