Don't you just love when you pick up a set (especially for the first time!) have no idea what you are going to do with it but just start stamping and end up being very pleased with the end result? Well that is what happend with this card. Since Thursday's WT114 challenge to use Yo Yo Yellow, I am really drawn to yellows. Yo Yo is hard because it is soooo bright and a bit blinding (LOL)! I have not used Summer sun until today, and I really like it, especially with Barely Banana and thus my first RIW card is born!
As I have read over and over, you cannot make a bad card with this set, and this was my first attempt which means I am living proof that is so true! After I stamped the roses I took a scissor and distressed the panel and took the celery pad and ran it around the edges, did the same thing with the black panel. For the summer sun panel I paper pierced, the top and bottom are the same, however you cannot see the bottom row of the piercing on the top. Then I ran the scissor to distress the outside of that panel also. I really like how it looks! I took french script and first used versamark but couldn't see it on the barely banana at all, then I took the barely banana pad but you still can't see it.
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. One of those you keep looking at and saying to yourself, self did "I" really make that card?!
Thanks so much for peeking!
