Hi Folks, thanks for all the comments about the embossing folder. I didn't go into details about it because it's really pretty involved to make and I haven't perfected the system yet. But anyway, here's the details (you're not going to like this): I designed the pattern on my computer using Adobe Illustrator, to be similar to the Paisley die which I already had. Inversed black to white and printed on transparency material on my inkjet photo 4x6 printer. Cut to size a sheet of photopolymer plate material (purchased from Boxcar press: www.boxcarpress.com; I used the Jet 94FL material). Used up most of what I bought experimenting with exposure and washout times. Placed the transparency print and photopolymer together sandwiched between glass and exposed the print to 366 nm UV light for 2.0 minutes. Washed out in lukewarm water with wide bristle brush for 4.0 minutes. Dried with hair dryer 5 minutes then re-exposed plate for 5.0 minutes to 366 nm. At this point it is ready to use as a texture plate. I'm still working on making the other half of the folder so the two will meet together and make a really good impression. Right now I'm using the plate in a similar manner to the Fiskars texture plates.
Hope this helps!

WOW! I'm impressed, but won't go to the trouble to do that! I read somewhere on SCS about using die-cuts to make a negative image on one side of a folder and a positive layer on the other side and then putting your paper between it. Haven't tried it.
