I'm very lucky that my mom was a SU demo for a while and we bought some of the incentive stamps because we liked them - that's how I got the butterfly!
When I attempt the challenges, I like to try new techniques that I've seen in the Resources file here on SCS.
I went to Michael's and bought a huge jar or ultra thick embossing powder and decided that I wanted to try the cracked glass technique. It was pretty easy overall, the ultra thick EP melted faster than the normal EP. I had to reapply with Versamark in between coats. It pays to be patient before trying to make the EP crack - let it cool!
The background of the card is a combination of French Script BG stamp and direct to paper. The background didn't stamp the way I wanted it to, so when in doubt, break out the sand paper and ink pad to make it aged!
The butterflies are popped up on leftover stamp trimmings.
