I have been wanting to share the Acetate Window Flip-Up card I made my husband last year for Father's Day but shortly after I made it I had to
pack and move to Florida and the card has been lost . . . until now . . . I found it! :)
Some of these stamp sets are retiring (boo, hoo) . . . So NOW is the time to demo these sets or to purchase them if you've been wanting
them. They are wonderful images to watercolor, which is what I did here . . . using the WONDERFUL SU! Watercolor Crayons. These images are so
very versatile that they are great for any holiday or occassion. They are fun to use the masking technique to put several images together and build scenes!
The saying was computer generated and printed on Acetate (a.k.a. transparency). There is a special acetate you buy at office supply stores that will accept inks and that is what I used. The text reads:
"He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it."
. . . SOooo absolutely perfect for my husband as he such a wonderful father . . . and husband of 24 years!!!
The "Faux Wooden" frame around the image
was done with Direct to Paper swiping to create the look of wood grain and then I used the Word Window Punch to make the 4 "wooden slats" and
of course brads are used to connect them all. I hammered the brads to distress them.
I changed a full color photo to Seipia tone and then printed it out on my pritner (I REALLY need to get a new printer that is photo quality). I think the rest you can figure out yourself but if you have
any other questions feel free to ask. :)
