My thought was to use some of my Basic Grey paper and my Papertreyink stamps. Got all of the paper cut and together, stamped the swirl and hoppy birthday sentiment and then sat there staring at my blank card, wondering what to do next! Had the "oh yeah, I need some chipboard" flashback (boy is my mind going..LOL!), pulled out my bag of chipboard and that's when it hit me! When I saw the big number 1 in my bag 'o chipboard I thought it would be perfect for my card and perfect for a first birthday card.
"Colored" the chipboard with some ink, added background stamping, some ribbon and my number one was ready to go. I stamped the grasshopper on Very Vanilla cardstock, cut him out and mounted him on some 18-gauge wire and had him "hop" out of the number 1. Oh yeah, and I actually added some stitching! Nothing that required a sewing machine but I did use a needle and thread...I'm getting there... :-)
