I made this card for the Ways to Use It Challenge #110, which is to use Orchid Opulence. When I first saw it, as I mentioned in the challenge thread, I thought of how much I love this color when I see it on a clothing rack. I'm blonde and fair, and as my DH so eloquently stated once,'You look good in dingy pastels.' Err... thanks, honey! Anyway, that got me to thinking about a shirt, and the skirt that matched it, which led me to use Polka Dots & Paisley for this card. The background in the photo is my inspirational skirt. :)
The OO layer is stamped with Canvas inked in OO, then stamped with the Paisley in Elegant Eggplant. I embellished the paisleys with my Sakura white pen. The strip in the middle is Pale Plum stamped with the Polka Dots inked in OO. The sentiment (which is one of my favorite quotes, 'Where there is great love, there are always miracles.' -- Willa Cather) is embossed with white detail EP. The circle scallop layer is popped up on 3-D dots. The edges of the card and the sentiment layer are inked with Cats Eye Chalk Ink in Lilac.
Thanks for looking!
