I made this for out admin. assistant. She is such a nice girl and she stamps too -- a bonus :-)
I found this great wooden sticky note and pen holder a while ago at my local dollar store. I figured I'd make something for my admin. assistant and when I realized that this was admin week, I got right at it.
I found this nice blue dp in my stash. Covered the wooden block and used Mod Podge. Then I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped the swirl from Carte Postale (stamping off once first) with tempting turquoise. Then I put the Dreams quote on top in StazOn black. I added some little flowers with silver brads. As well (although you can't see it in the pic) I chalked the edges with TT.
Then I made a sticky note holder to fit into the opening. I used one of my home-made embossing stencils (see From My Inkpad To Yours blog for a tutorial on how to make them) and then used sticky notes to mask off the outside. I stamped the flowers from Carte Postale in StazOn Black. Once dry, I covered the showing square with Versamark and then used a cottonball to add TT chalk to teh corners and white chalk in the middle strip.
I added a little matching card (used the same dp) and also altered a starbucks paper bag with some of the dp (how come you never have a gift bag when you need one). I think she liked it -- and I'm pretty sure she appreciated it.

Love the colors! I've added this to my favorites so I can look this up when I get my hands on the pastels and start wondering what to do with them. TFS!
