Today's Inspiration Challenge was entitled "Unmentionables," which reminded me that I have an anniversary coming up this month (I'm sure I don't need to explain that one! ;)
I cleaned my stamping desk today (snort---clean for me any way!!), and sage shadow and cool caribbean were next to each other, my DH's favorite colors. And I have been wanting to try Dawn's (dawnmercedes') pocket tri-fold card, so....ta da!! (Thanks, Dawn!!) My anniversary card is done in advance instead of the 'morning of'!!
I made mine just a tad differently bc. Dawn used one-sided dp, and I used cs. I cut my cs 8x8, scored it at 4 inches both ways, lopped off one quadrant, and cut the top left and bottom right quadrants on the diagonal. Lastly, I just folded up the bottom right diagonal and tacky taped it to make the pocket!!
The scalloped squares are popped up as are the briefs (swimming trunks from Some Like It Hot). I outlined the briefs with a black marker and used a blender pen dipped in taken with teal to color in the drawstrings to make them look more like boxers (wishin' I had bought Laundry Notes about now!!)
The funky paper clip holds the top flap down, and the sentiment is embossed.
