This card has literally taken me weeks to finish. The problem began when I insisted on designing this card around the slide I made w/ my "birthday bug". (Isn't it cute?) In addition to the distraction of a family illness (everyone is fine, now), the backgrounds and central image have changed many times over. One evening, after wrestling w/ the main image, just before I was headed to bed, it occurred to me to use the acetate. Finally finished it last night.
I colored the flower image w/ reinker mixed w/ Crystal Effects, then added Ice Stickles to the "swirls" in the vase. Before I ran the ribbon slide die thru the C'bug, I attached the paper to a piece of cardboard in my recycling bin to give the slide some stability. The "thank you" on the slide is embossed.
