I made this for my friend to display photos of her two grandsons. I used BeateÂ’s tutorial (thank you!) but added another page and put places for pix on both sides. Although I made a front & back cover, (embellishments on front only) the book/frame can open from either side, so I made little hinge-like ribbon holders at the outer edge and looped the ribbon through them to be tied on the right side of the front. If she wants to display pictures on both sides, she can remove the ribbon completely, or just tie it through one of the two hinges.
I cut the neutral CS according to the tutorial, but making both pieces 3.5 x 10.5”, then I stamped them with various stamps/colors to coordinate with the cover paper. I enjoyed trying to stamp the bg to complement the paper. Among other stamps, it was fun using “All in a Row” this way—not what I had in mind when I purchased the set, but it worked. I kind of wished, after adding the photo mats, that I had more of my stamped bg showing! I made the mistake of Mod Podging the front and it smeared some of the writing a little, but it doesn’t look too bad. I think I’ll pass on sealing it next time, though. Thanks for looking!
