Card front was done doing the wood grain technique. Rolled out great outdoors wheel selected a few images framed them, hung them on brads with hemp. Easy card and the technique works well for all the men in your life!

Woodgrain Technique
1-Put three drops of each of your reinkers in your paint pallette.
2-Starting with chocolate chip tap toothbrush into reinker.
3-Using up & down motion(long strokes), sweep the bristles randomly along the paper.
4-Repeat steps 1-3 for the remainder of the reinkers going in the order listed in the supply list. You are layering the inks over each other, being careful not to create blotches.
5-Using a sponge inked with going grey, sponge over any white still showing through.
6-Using the black Stampin' Write marker(bold tip) & ruler, draw lines to mimic boards.
7-Add details such as cracks, wood knots & nails by drawing them in.
Mat & Embellish as desired.
I tend to use the most of Chocolate Chip & Creamy Carmel to really establish the woodgrain & then less & less for the reinkers to follow.
Experiment with different colors for different effects. Add old olive to give it a weathered look, real red for barn siding. You are not limited to what you can create!
Have fun & enjoy!
