For today's Way to Use It challenge; Glossy Rerun. This is the first time I have attempted the faux linen technique. I followed Beate's tutorial and (after 3 attempts) am finally pleased with the results. Used my favorite sketch and Heartfelt Thanks stamp set.
I took glossy card stock and stamped it with first the linen background stamp in creamy caramel then with the french script background in close to cocoa. Used sandpaper to sand the finish off then sponged with creamy caramel ink and close to cocoa ink. I stamped the Heartfelt Thanks flower in buckaroo blue (stems in true thyme) four times without reinking. Then used the matching highlight stamp also in buckaroo blue. Layered the main image on chocolate chip and buckaroo blue. Stamped "heartfelt" and trimmed with chocolate grosgrain. Layered that on chocolate chip card stock stamped with weathered and sponged in chocolate chip ink. Then attached to a buckaroo blue card body.
