I needed to do a wedding card, and this challenge (Coffee with Cream) fit right into my idea! I posted
another woven card last week, and had the idea for this card with the idea of making up some verse for the inside about "two lives being woven together forever" and this is what I came up with. I found the ribbon at Michael's and thought it added just enough of a modern feel to fit the young couple, yet maintain the elegance of a wedding card - and it just happened to be the right colors for the challenge!
The card wasn't hard but it was time consuming, mostly because of all the sponging. I sponged the edges of everything, including the paper strips before weaving them.

I learned to weave baskets when we lived in Hawaii, and the thought of combining basketry techniques with card-making brings smiles all around. A beautiful card with a lovely sentiment, I'm sure it will be the most special of all they receive.
