Oh my goodness, this card was so much fun to make! I'm on a vintage paper & embellishment high!
The challenge was to stick with browns and creams but no coffee or chocolate themes allowed. I decided to go vintage. The main image from Magenta is stamped with Chocolate Chip Craft ink onto Kraft cardstock and layered onto Vanilla cardstock edged with the Chocolate Chip. That is layered again onto Chocolate Chip cardstock, wrapped with a bit of vintage lace from my grandma and all is raised with foam tape. The two corners are from my Cuttlebug DC called Vintage. The brown double layered flower with the cream center is all put together and put on with mini glue dots. (How I love my mini glue dots!)
The vintage background paper is from Paper Pizazz and I got it from JoAnne's during their 5 for a $1 paper sale. I edged it with Chocolate Chip ink and it's attached to a long Kraft card base. I stamped my sentiment with craft Chocolate Chip ink straight onto the patterned paper and I used a positioner to stamp it twice so it would show up nice and bold. The frame is from an old plastic belt buckle with the center removed . . . I have a couple of these also found at my grandma's house. It was a very, very deep brown . . . almost black. I lightened it up with Creamy Caramel Craft ink and dried it with a heat gun. Then I stamped it with Chocolate Chip Craft ink using my Victorian Lace stamp and dried it good with the heat gun. I really love how this turned out. And, if you are still reading this novelette - I applaud you! lol!

I had to laugh; I was reading on and on and thought this is really step by step. Then I got to your line about it being a novelette and had to chuckle. I love the card though; I would have kept on reading had you gone on. You did a great job; it really is old-fashioned.
