As a basket weaver, this was an idea that's been floating around in my head for a long time, so this challenge was perfect for it because of all the natural colors.
I tried to make the card kind of shabby chic by inking up all the edges, including the flowers, and I think I really like them "dirty." Looking at it now, I wish I'd sponged the strips before weaving. Guess I'll have to make another one!

It looks great except you need to trim the edges of your "smile" stamp so you don't get those little lines when you stamp. Just use a craft knife to cut off more rubber. It won't look pretty, but it will stamp better. I love the card-great idea!

Vee,
The marks you see are actually from the ink pad when I inked up the edges. They are actually much more subtle in person, so I'm not sure why they show up so dark in the photo. Thanks for the suggestion though.

What a unique card! I'm inspired to tackle my box of scraps and build a color pallete of varying widths. Would coordinate well with my quilt cards. Wow! Great job!
