Ways to Use it Challenge was to use die cuts on cards. So far, I only have some tags, sliders, and the 'Flowers' dies. When I first got my 'Flowers' dies, I ran them through the 'bug to make sure they worked. When I stacked the results on top of each other, they reminded me of a marigold flower. Remembering this, is what got me started on this card.
Earlier this week, I ran some So Saffron paper through the bug with the 'stylized flowers' embossing folder. I ended up not using the sheet of cardstock I embossed. It was still sitting on my table, since I had no place to file it, and it wasn't really trash. So, I grabbed it and use it to cut the flowers. The texture keeps the marigolds from being quite so flat.
I sponged More Marigold ink around each layer of the marigolds before I assembled them. I used a 1/4" circle punch in the center of each marigold.
When I was working with the card, I grabbed Chocolate Chip and old Olive Paper, then realized that if I added Really Rust and Cool Carribean, I could add this card to this week's color challeng too.
So much for today's novel.
