Whew! I finally got this done! Now I can say I've actually made a "Kittie card" lol
Seriously, she is so talented, and I had to follow her tutorial VERY closely (right down to looking at her picture to draw my tree!) Had to sub whatever brushes/tools I could find in my stash to create the effect. I am no artist, but this was really fun. The ribbon and bow at the top are there primarily to hide an inky finger smudge TFL

One time I got through with one of the prettiest things I had ever painted and went to pick up the piece of watercolor paper and had a big blob of chocolate chip reinker on my thumb. Needless to say.....I put a piece of ribbon all the way down one side of the picture to cover up the goober.
This is so darling. And I must say your tree is absolutely wonderful. What a talent. I love the shape of the tree and the branches and you did a great job filling in around with leaves to look natural. My first trees looked like cartoon trees with a trunk and a big ball of leaves. I hope you do more. I may have to go and get the link to my first tree to show you. First whole tree in scene card March 4, 2006 wait till you see it and then you will know how wonderful your tree really is. You can laugh. I know it was bad. I just wanted to point out that repitition makes things start working better and skills improve with practice. Keep at it.
This is great. I have been wanting to do one all week, but have been working on the invitations. They are done now and I will play today. High praise from kittie.
