The lid is not seamed. The handle pops off the tins from OTC. I measured the lid and cut to fit. Glued it down with the handle off and then replaced the handle. The rectangle section in the middle was measured and cut with a hobby blade.

Great job on the tin! Your friend will LOVE it! I love how the handle just pops off. About two months ago I ordered some of these from OTC, and I guess I got the old style, because my handles are riveted to the top, and it's not all once piece.
One question though, if you carry the tin by the handle, will it pop off? Mine will be full of recipes, and sorta heavy. Thanks!
