Sigh. I have had two deaths in as many weeks. I was asked to make this (large) card on behalf of our school office for a friend/former co-worker who lost her only child in a very tragic car accident. It needed to be large to allow space for more people to sign. I was touched to be asked to make this, and after some time, the mojo began to flow and this is what I came up with.
8.5" x 10"
Take two 8.5" x 11" sheets and cut them down to 10.5". Score at 5" on each piece. Overlapping the back at 5.5", tape them together using mono adhesive or sticky tape. Your finished piece will be 8.5" x 10". Cut a coordinating piece for your outside layer to 8" x 9.5", and also for the inside panel. Also cut two front panel pieces at 8" x 4.5". These measurements will give you 1/4" layers. Adjust the measurements if you want 1/8" layers. Stamp as desired, and tape or glue the coordinating pieces to the inside, front and back. Create your focal image for the front of the card as desired. You can adapt this for any occasion.

What a wonderful thing to do for a co-worker who must be really hurting right now. I would be so touched by your beautiful gesture. I always struggle how I can help someone during their difficult times. This is one way to do so. You're awesome!
