This is another class project I offer each month - a 6x6 scrapbook page or coordinating card for those that don't scrapbook.
I don't know if there's a specific technique that my butterflies are - I call it double embossing on vellum. I stamp the butterflies on cardstock vellum and emboss with detail black embossing powder. Then, I color the butterfly in coordinating marker colors - for these I used coral, banana, and lavendar lace and then emboss the butterfly again with hologram highlights embossing powder. Cut out the butterflies and attach with a popdot. They are so beautiful in real life - it's hard for the camera to pick up the sparkliness and dimension that the actually have.
Thanks for the closer look! I have another set of butterfly cards that I made with this same technique in my gallery done with warmer colors as well if you're interested.

Thanks for this idea. I did a scrapbook page with the summer paper and the butterfly from a touch of nature using this technique. Very Cool. It really impressed my stampers and you really have to see these in person to appreciate how pretty they are!! Thanks :-D
