This was for LSC104 to use scraps of ribbon. I have a whole jar of scraps so it was fun to get my brain thinking about how to use them. The paper piecing sailboat idea and sentiment were inspired by a gift bag I saw at Target and the colors were inspired by a baby outfit I just bought for a friend. I printed out the sentiment using word art on the computer. I sponged the watercolor paper bg with NQN but didn't like how dark it looked so I spritzed it with water and sponged off the excess ink. I really like the new softer look. The card base is stamped with the dot from little pieces in white chalk ink. It's very subtle and doesn't show up well in the picture. The little hardware alphabet blocks were put there to cover up a dark smudge I got on the card base--necessity is the mother of embellishing. My ribbon scraps are the little flag, the nautical knots and the gingham on the boat.

I LOVE this card! So many creative bits to it--the 'sponging', ribbon bits, paper piecing. . . Thanks so much for sharing! BTW, great user user name too. :-)
