It was great fun to combine three challenges this week! The layout for the card was inspired by SC112, thanks to Rox and notimetostamp! The sponging was inspired by Julia for WT101 Sponge Rerun" (thanks Julia), and I added a tiny scrap of "ribbon" as embellishment for Jen's LSC104 "Scraps o' Ribbon" (thank you, Jen).
First I crinkled the watercolor paper to give it a more distressed look. Then I stamped and colored the main image (the Love Bandit, by High Hopes) using artist's watercolors. The saying was stamped separately afterwards (also from High Hopes)
I then used three brown dye inks and sponged them onto the edges using a make-up sponge by Cover Girl (my favorite tool, as I love sponging!). I then used a metal ruler to distress the edges even moreso.
The dotted paper is from a scrapbook paper pad. I sponged more brown ink onto the edges of this after I mounted it on black cs.
I cut a tiny piece of leather "ribbon" (about two inches) and tied it onto the circular metal clip.
Love those challenges, keep em' comin!
