Today's inspiration is kind of silly...it's my shower curtain! We recently refinished one of our bathrooms and I went with a contemporary design, which is a total change for me. I prefer a more traditional look...if I could the whole house would be covered in floral and stripe patterns! But I really fell in love with the colors in the curtain and it was a perfect match for the new vanity and countertop.
My card isn't an exact reproduction of the design but I did my best to match the colors and shapes and SU!'s circle background stamp is almost a perfect match to the circle lines in the curtain.
The card was super easy to make. First I lined up my different size, colored cardstock pieces and after inking by background stamp, stamped over all of pieces (I laid the pieces on scrap paper so the barely banana cardstock would remain unstamped), omitting the black since the image wouldn't have been seen. Initially, I stamped the circle shape with the background stamp but it was a bit too much so I flipped the circle to the unstamped size, the saying looks much better against the plain cardstock. I then used my "Riveting" stamp set to stamp the sentiment. I layered all of the pieces of the image so it really has a lot of "pop" in person.
