Great pick Melody! I love doing this type of card
for the Keiki boys and itÂ’s very easy and such fun since you donÂ’t know for sure what youÂ’ll get until youÂ’re finished.
I just started by smearing VersaMark on black cardstock. I find Stampin Up works well because of the thickness. Add Ultra Thick Embossing powder, I then do a combo of smearing with the VM pad again or using the pen version. Dab on the PearlEx and heat and just continue until you like it.
My rocket ship is a homemade stamp that I have the markings on the stamp so I know where to color with marker then add the black outlines after I stamp. I then press the image into the VM pad and heat emboss with the UT. It is mounted on foam for dimension.
A few stars are added with white gel pen.
Due to embossing the turquoise layer I had to use the eyelets to hold it down since now glue wanted to keep it in place. They are just random placed. The tabs are Stampin Up ovals cut at an angel.
The cardstock base is a shimmer so it appears in the light as two colors but itÂ’s not.

Wow, now this is about as creative as you can get...It is awesome, and almost a exact replica of the inspiration piece. Love that you added some aircraft!
