A couple of years ago, I decided to try hand-carving some stamps. I love Dard Hunter Roses, and one looked easy enough to adapt to hand carving, since it is essentially a square with some curves removed. I made my rose, then I got carried away and made a whole set of stamps to go with the rose, which included a vine with leaves and squares, and a plain vine with squares, then I made a sentiment using a craftsman-inspired font.
The card is a single-layer card, since I designed the stamps to work together to fit on a 4.25 x 5.5" card front. I stamped this card today, trying it with craft iinks. I used classic inks in the past, and I think that for solid image stamps, craft inks do work better. I probably read to use craft inks here on SCS.
