Scrapbook page of my son showing his halter horse at the American Quarter Horse Association's Youth World Championship show in Ft. Worth, TX in 2004. (This page has been done for a while, but I've got my very first digital camera, so I'm uploading some scrapbook layouts I've done over the years.)
The title is difficult to read on the scan - it says AQHA Youth World Aug. 2004.
On the right hand page, the picture above the journaling box was taken with a wide angle lens and showed a lot of horses. Because it was hard to identify which one my son was, I removed the center from an aluminum metal edge tag and "circled" him with it - lasso-ing the tag to the photo top and bottom with linen thread. It's difficult to see in the scan, though.
The journaling block is cardstock on which I used the faux woodgrain technique. I like the way it turned out.
Looking back at this layout makes me a little misty-eyed. We had to put down this horse late last year due to a degenerative bone disease. He was my favorite horse and he was gorgeous. He was also enormous - he dwarfs my son, who was 16 at the time.

Yes, the paper was "as is." TEXAS, the stars, the horseshoes were all on the paper. I picked it up when were in Ft. Worth at a local scrapbook store. I don't know who it is made by.
