My neice had a birthday & this is the card I made for her...
Here is the card with the box pushed down...
ok - I'm adding the dimensions I used for this card - see below:
Box: Cut Mellow Moss cardstock lengthwise - 4.25"X11"
Score from one end at:
1) 1/4"
2) 2-3/8"
3) 3-3/8"
4) 5-1/2" (center of cardstock)
The easiest thing for me is to turn the card around & score the lines on the other half of the card at the opposite end (except for the 5-1/2" line).
Use your hobby blade and cut a slit along the 5-1/2" score line - leave a 1/2" on each side intact (center card will slide through here).
Notecard: Cut Mellow Moss cardstock 5-1/2"X3-1/4" (The layered Confetti Cream piece is cut at 5"X2-3/4")
Assembly:
I fold all the scored areas - long cardstock in 1/2 and fold up the 1/4" pieces at the end so they face each other.
I put the notecard through the box slit, and attach the bottom of the notecard to the folded up edges of the box & attach with sticky strip (regular adhesive won't keep it together - I learned the hard way!).
I hope that helps! I'm not that great at describing instructions.
**I found a thread by Joelyn that describes this freestanding pop-up box card with dimensions AND pictures - very easy to follow, with pictures for those of you who need a visual like me...!** Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Awesome!
I needed another "green" project for my Stamper's Night this week, and this is perfect!
I've never made this type of pop-up before, and it came out just great with your directions.
Thanks so much!
