For this card, I started with some light modeling paste and added some acrylic paint to get it to a color I wanted. Then I used the paste with my Ling Art Studio brass template to make a raised image. It was just like frosting a cake.
After the paste dried, I used my most favorite paper from Stampin' Up (Recollections). Of course I used the brown stripes and green with white flowers (the pages with the lovely red flowers is just too precious to use just yet ... hoarding...)
Then, I added some green ribbon (MM) that I thread through the Designer Label punch. Note that I used my chocolate chip marker to stamp only the outside edge and then used a saying from my fancy flexible phrases set. I then inked the edge of the main image with close to cocoa and matted it on a piece of green patterned paper and centered it on the top portion of the card.
This new technique was so much fun. I also tried it with my new Finest Flourishes brass template -- see my gallery!!

Gorgeous use of this brass template! I haven't used my embossing paste with it yet - guess I'll have to try that SOON! TFS!
