Yep, it is that time of the year again! Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so if you haven't started your cards yet - welcome to my world!! LOL! I've managed to get a few done and then tonight, the ever challenging "guy" Valentine card. Not too fussy, not too pink, and not too foo-foo, please! :) I had fun with this one and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Thought about adding some Crystal Effects and glitter, but managed to hold myself back. <grinning> The hearts were colored using an aquapainter and the ink off of the lid of the pads from Real Red and Creamy Caramel - yes, the pink hearts are just more water and less red ink and the dark chocolate hearts are more layers of caramel ink. For the sentiment on the side, I inked each word (one at a time) with the Close to Cocoa marker then stamped them side-by-side. The wagon was colored with Real Red and Basic Black markers. I then stamped another wagon with Real Red, cut out just the wagon part and layered it over the markered piece. Gives it just a little extra texture and the saturation of the red looks better, I think.
