I made this card for my 13 yr old daughter because today is her Happy Adoption Day. Eleven years ago we were in Mainland China and were entrusted by the PRC (Peoples Republic of China) to raise this wonderful child. Tonight, we will dine on sushi, her favorite meal.
That was nice of you to make a tribute to JulieHHR and where you got your idea from. I LOVE your version. It looks fabulous. Can't wait to try the idea!

Wow!! This card really struck me when I saw it and then when I read your sentimate. We are about to have our 2 year "gotcha" anniversary in May - sometimes I feel like we have had her forever and other days it seems like just yesterday!!

Congratulations on your adoption day! My 2 children are from Novosibirsk, Russia. I got them 5 1/2 and 8 years ago! It seems like yesterday. Their adoptions days are so close to their actual birthdays (like only days apart) that I don't celebrate adoption days. I try to celebrate New Year's for them by having Grandfather Frost visit and fill their stockings instead. I hope you enjoy your daughter as much as I enjoy my beautiful children. Thank you for sharing your card and your message.
