This was my project this morning. It is a small album made from ONE 12 x 12 sheet of paper and then a cover for it.
The cover is chocolate chip and the band is more mustard. I made a band to slide on the outside to hold it shut but I also used my coluzzle to make a slit underneath (like the slit punch - minus the punch). I did some paper punching along the band (one of my new favorite things to do).
The main image is from one of my newest sets - my hostess gift, Measure of a Life. I colored it in with my new watercolor pencils and then used a watercolor brush and water to blend it all together. I roughed up the edge of the main image with my scissors and matted it on a square of the more mustard and then on some vanilla paper. I then attached the right side only to the band so the image comes off when you slide the band off the book cover.
I plan on sending this full of pictures of my son to a friend who we haven't seen for a long time. I'm sure she will enjoy it.
