I had played with this set earlier in the week and liked what I came up with (see Gallery at Splitcoaststampers if you're interested). When the Limited Supplies challenge 100 -- Black & White with a Twist -- came out, I thought I'd use some of the elements I thought worked in the Doodle Bloom card (basic layout and scallop doodling) and expand a little on the details. I added more ribbon at the top, a flower textured ribbon on the cardstock band, and I backstitched around the entire image with black floss. It was my first time to do any stitching on paper, and I really like the effect. Now that I've done it once, I have lots more ideas of how to use it in future projects. Isn't it fun to learn new things?!
