Here is my page for Tracy's Symbols of You challenge.
I welcome any suggestions on this page. I tried to do a collage sort of page which I haven't ever done and without a picture as well. I'm just not happy with it - it seems very busy and not pulled together. So if you are good at collages or have ideas, please share them. Thanks
I chose a triangle as my symbol because it symbolizes woman and because it has three facets as do I - Woman, Wife, Mom. I stamped around the left triangle 'Woman A Miracle celebrated' and 'Wife Love Shared' and 'Mom Joy expressed'
I wrote on the chipboard pieces. M I am a Mom to Matt, Lindsey, Trace. W I am a Wife to Brian. W I am a Woman of God.
I used a mask to journal in triangle shapes on the right side - and then masked them off to stamp over them. Also added some punched and inked flowers. Then added some brads to one of the triangles and paper pierced some triangles onto the rust background and added some buttons.
The journaling reads:
I am the mom to Matt and Lindsey and Trace. I adore my children and words do not express teh joy they bring to me.
I am the wife to Brian. I cherish him and I cherish the love we share.
I am the woman that God created me to be. I am made in His image. I celebrate the miracle of His Gift, Jesus.

Mary, this is very cool!! I love your idea and the symbol of the triangle!! Perfect though process!! I feel it's hard too making a page without any pics...and leaving it that way! lol! My thought to have more balance is to maybe have journaling all on one side and then leave the other side plain even or just stamped, flowers, BG paper, etc. What you think? I think your idea and colors are great!! Thanks for sharing!! :)

Mary! Great page. I love the colours, all the stamping, and especially the triangle idea and journalling. Very thoughtful! Suggestion: I was thinking that maybe you could "border" (or make one big triangle around the edge of the page) in the shape of a triangle, using ribbons & brads?? Try to imagine what it would look like if you had an actual photo - how would you place the objects around it??

Very pretty page! I love the triangle and your journaling. I don't have any advice except to maybe put it away and take it back out in a few days, then maybe something will come to you. But honestly, I think it's a beautiful page! TFS~

I love your choice of the triangle as your symbol. There is so much to like about your page, the chipboard letters, great stamping and fun embellishments.
When I think of a collage I don't think of divided areas, like you have the ribbon running down between the two spaces, I always think of things running together more. But, then I've never been able to accomplish the collage look, so who am I to give advice - LOL.
I think this is really neat. I love the triangle idea and the colors you used. I hate to give advice - I like Donna's idea to look at it later and maybe something will come to you -otherwise leave it! I think it's great.
