Remembrance day is marked on Nov. 11th each year. At 11:00 AM a moment of silence is observed all over Canada. This poem by John McCrae is memorized by most Canadian School Children.

This is beautiful!
------------------------------ When the toast is burned and all the milk has turned and Captain Crunch is waving farewell.. When the big one finds you, may this song remind you that they don't serve breakfast in hell... newsboys

In my youth, I too memorized this poem--we recited it on Veteran's Day here in the U.S. Lovely cards and brings back some wonderful school day memories.
